29-09-2012 | Press Release to Zwickau meets Friends (CZ) 2012
In the last round of the autocross event at Zwickau meets Friends (CZ)2012 on the cart arena near Cheb, the 2010 electric vehicle of the Zwickau team (eHorst) went off track right behind the finish line. After a health check by the medical staff it was confirmed that the driver was not injured. eHorst drove into a ditch where the front suspension was strongly damaged. Thanks to the fast operation of the Safety Responsible the vehicle could be rescued in accordance to all safety regulations.

Traditionally, the Renngruppe Zwickau met at the Formula Student event in Hockenheim and supported the team at its fight for points.
17-12-2011 | Christmas Party
Also in 2011 the Alumni celebrated traditionally a Christmas party. Approximately 30 people came to the new building of Herms Technologies. Glogg and music were the base to celebrate the good old days with pictures and videos from this time. Later on, the so called “Schrottwichteln” was the perfect moment to exchange antiquated things between the guests. Furthermore, the 2012 event was already planned and both parties - active members and Formula Student seniors - will celebrate one Christmas party together. The goal will be the transfer of spirit of WHZ Racing Team to the new members and creating new solutions out of experiences and new ideas.

During the Zwickau meets Friends event, the alumni donated 700,- Euro to the team to maintain the old cars.

On September11th, 2011 the alumni met on the Erzgebirgsring to celebrate the season ending together with the team. Before the event could take place, the alumni helped to prepare the cars for the event.
10-07-2011 | Schleizer Dreieck, Classic Grand Prix
Between July 8th and 10th, 2011 the alumni participated with the old cars at Classic Grand Prix on the Schleizer Dreieck.
